You look as though you are coping, but inside things feel very different.

You may be managing work, relationships and everyday life, while privately feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or disconnected. You may have learned to keep things going, but find that familiar ways of coping are becoming harder to sustain.

Therapy can offer a space to understand what you are experiencing, make sense of patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and begin to find a different way forward.

You may recognise some of this

You feel anxious, low or overwhelmed, even though you appear to be managing.

You understand things intellectually, but still find yourself caught in the same emotional patterns.

You feel disconnected from yourself or from the people around you.

You find yourself repeating patterns in relationships that are difficult to understand or change.

Understanding what is happening

Therapy is not simply about learning to cope with difficult feelings.

It can also help you understand why certain situations affect you in particular ways, and why familiar patterns can be difficult to change.

We can explore your experiences, relationships and emotional patterns at a pace that feels manageable, while also considering what might help you make changes in your everyday life.

How I work

I am trained in psychodynamic, interpersonal and cognitive behavioural approaches. Following an initial assessment, we can consider which approach or combination of approaches is most suited to what you are experiencing.

Depending on your needs, therapy may involve understanding emotional patterns and relationships, working through difficult experiences, or finding more practical ways of managing situations in everyday life.

About me

I am an accredited psychotherapist and supervisor with over 18 years’ experience working with adults across NHS services and private practice, including bereavement support, probation and multicultural counselling organisations.

I offer a calm, thoughtful and structured space where you can speak openly about what is happening and begin to make sense of your experiences.

I work in person in Banstead and online across the UK. Sessions are also available in Portuguese.
