My Services

Psychotherapy for Adults

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults who want to understand themselves more deeply and make meaningful, lasting change. Many people come to therapy when they feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or unsure how to move forward. Together, we explore the emotional and relational experiences shaping your inner world, while developing practical strategies that support day-to-day life.

Therapy is available in Banstead and online across the UK, and can be short-term or longer-term depending on your needs.

If you’re unsure whether your experience “fits” any category, we can explore this in an initial consultation.

Common Areas I Support

Anxiety & Stress

Support for chronic worry, panic, social anxiety, overwhelm and difficulty switching off. We explore both the emotional roots and the patterns that keep anxiety active.

Depression & Low Mood

Understanding persistent sadness, numbness, loss of motivation or hopelessness. We combine insight with strategies that help restore momentum and connection.

Relationship & Attachment Difficulties

Help with repeating patterns in romantic, family or workplace relationships — including conflict, withdrawal, insecurity, or struggles to express needs.

Identity, Sexuality & Shame

A reflective space to explore identity, belonging, internal conflict or shame. This includes specialist support for gay men navigating identity, intimacy, self-esteem and relational patterns.

Trauma & Relational Trauma

Support with the emotional impact of past experiences — whether single events or long-standing patterns of instability, criticism or neglect.

Grief & Loss

A compassionate space to process bereavement, complicated grief, break-ups, health changes or other significant transitions.

Self-Esteem & Internal Criticism

Understanding harsh self-judgment, shame, avoidance and the emotional foundations beneath these patterns. We work on building a more stable internal base.

How I Work

My approach draws on psychodynamic, interpersonal and cognitive-behavioural perspectives. When helpful, I integrate elements of ACT and Compassion-Focused Therapy to support emotional insight and real-world change.

What I Offer

I support adults with a wide range of emotional, relational and identity-related difficulties. Therapy can be short-term, medium-term or longer-term depending on your goals.

Sessions are available online across the UK or in person in Banstead.

What to Expect

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly.

The pace, goals and methods will depend on what you want to work on and the way you find it most helpful to engage in therapy.

The initial assessment focuses on:

  • what brings you to therapy

  • the difficulties you’re currently facing

  • your goals

  • how we might work together

After the initial assessment, we decide together which therapeutic modality best supports your goals, and periodically review progress and objectives.

Fees

My fee is £85 per session for individual therapy. A small number of reduced-fee spaces are available for clients on lower incomes.

If you need a reduced fee, we can discuss this during the assessment.

Bupa & Other Insurance Referrals

I accept referrals from Bupa and other health insurers.

To book through Bupa, please provide your pre-authorisation number in advance.

If your policy includes an excess, this must be paid directly to me at least 24 hours before the first session in order to receive the appointment details or Zoom link.

Getting Started
